Chemin de Szombathely (col du Petit-Saint-Bernard → Tournon-Saint-Martin)

Section française de la branche orientale du chemin de saint Martin, celle qui relie Szombathely — la Savaria romaine où naquit Martin — à Tours. La trace disponible commence au col du Petit-Saint-Bernard, à 2 190 m sur la frontière italienne, et descend la Tarentaise par Bourg-Saint-Maurice, Aime, Moûtiers et Albertville. Elle franchit ensuite un second passage en altitude à 1 582 m dans les Préalpes au sud de Chambéry, rejoint le Rhône à Vienne, puis remonte à Lyon jusqu'à l'église Saint-Martin-d'Ainay. De là elle gagne l'ouest par Roanne, Vichy, Montluçon et Argenton-sur-Creuse, et s'achève à Tournon-Saint-Martin, aux portes de la Touraine. Environ 859 km.
